MRI Tech Assistant - PRN ARRT Registered Technologist Join an energetic, patient-focused team! Outpatient Diagnostic Center, a local operator of outpatient medical imaging centers in the Huntsville, Alabama area, is currently seeking a PRN technologist to train as a certified MRI Technologist Aide.
This is an earn as you learn opportunity for candidates that have a desire to work in an outpatient setting assisting our registered MRI Technologists with patient care.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with patients and assisting others, with a positive attitude and the aptitude to learn and master new skills.
This is a great opportunity for candidates that are interested in having exposure to multiple modalities with the future opportunities of cross training.
Perfect for a new graduate or experienced Radiographer who is interested in learning multiple modality workflows and needs.
Earn as you learn training consists of seven weeks of paid online didactic coursework which is integrated into your work week at one of our centers.
Upon completion of the online coursework in center job training, employee is eligible for an exam to become certified as MRI Tech Aide.

Must have a minimum Associates Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current valid registration from ARRT.
BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Ability to work efficiently as an extension of certified/registered staff or licensed independent practitioner.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology.
Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
